    Goat Cheese Bread

    Servings: 4
Preparation and cooking time: 20 minutes

    Ingredients:

  • 1/3 (8 inches long) of a French baguette
  • Goat cheese 9 oz
  • 1 apple (canada or Granny Smith)
  • 4 teaspoons of heavy cream
  • Pepper and herbs of Provence
  • Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F - 180 degrees Celsius or Therm 6.

Cut the 1/3 « baguette » into two, lengthwise.

Peel and core, then cut the apple into thin slices.

Spread the cream onto either side of bread.

Add the slices of apple and the goat cheese cut into a third of an inch slices.

Spread pepper and a pinch of Herbs of Provence to taste.

Cut the slices of bread into four (this will make eight portions of approximately 2 inches each).

Place in preheated oven for only 10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then toast for five more minutes (just the time for the cheese to get a nice golden brownish color).

    Serve warm.

    Bon appétit !
